  1. The competition
    JULABO GmbH is looking for the oldest unit that is still in working order and would like to honor it. The winner is the Unit with the oldest serial number.
     
  2. Participation
    Companies and their employees who work with the JULABO Unit are eligible to participate. If the Unit is not the property of the participant, permission must be obtained from the owner. In the case of minors, the consent of the legal representative is required. See declaration of consent for participation in the competition.
     
  3. Participation period
    The participation period starts on 15.10.2024 and ends on 15.12.2024.
     
  4. Registration for the competition
    Registration for the competition is possible via various channels:
  1. Conditions of participation
    The following documents must be submitted when registering for the competition.
  • Personal data of the submitting employee (first and last name, e-mail address, telephone number).
  • Data of the owner (company name, name of the managing director, address, telephone number).
  • Information about the Unit: short description of the application of the unit, photo of the serial number, photo and short video* of the unit at the workplace to demonstrate the functionality of the unit. 
    * Short video: To send the video, JULABO will send participants an upload link after registration. Video format: MP4 or mov, length at least 5 seconds.
  • The photos and videos must be submitted with permission for promotional use (print media, website, press release, newsletter and social media) by JULABO GmbH, its subsidiaries and its sales partners, worldwide and for an unlimited period of time. These authorizations must be completed by the submitting employee and the owner of the JULABO unit. If persons are depicted in the photos and/or videos, permission from these persons must also be provided.

  1. This is what participants can win:
    1. The submitting employee:
      First place: iPad Air tablet
      Second place: Amazon voucher worth 300,- Euro
      Third place: Amazon voucher worth 200,- Euro
      Payment of the prize is excluded. 
       
    2. The owner of the JULABO unit
      First place: Discount for JULABO Unit worth 2000,- Euro
      Second place: Discount for JULABO Unit worth 1000,- Euro
      Third place: Discount for JULABO Unit worth 1000,- Euro
      The prize cannot be paid out. 
      The discount vouchers can be redeemed at JULABO GmbH or a licensed JULABO dealer.
       

  2. Selection of the winners
    The age of the still functional Unit is decisive for the selection of the winners and will be determined by JULABO GmbH on the basis of the serial number. 
    The winners will be informed of their prize in writing.

    The winners will be determined after the closing date for entries in accordance with section 11. JULABO GmbH will notify the three winners and the companies (owners) involved until 15.01.2025 at the latest. JULABO GmbH will distribute the prizes to the submitting employees by the end of January 2025. The companies (owners) will receive the discount voucher within the first quarter of 2025 with a validity of 2 years from handover.

  3. Exclusion of participation 
    Employees of JULABO GmbH, its subsidiaries and its sales partners.
     

  4. Data protection

    Participation in the competition requires that, in addition to agreeing to these conditions of participation, consent is also given to the processing of photos and film recordings. Consent to the processing of photos and film recordings is required because the competition is of a public nature and is held at least partially in public. This includes the fact that the competition presents the submitted Units and the participants to the public at all stages. Press and public relations work takes place from the time of registration and above all during the competition event. The data processing described in the privacy policy is part of these conditions of participation.

  5. Exclusion from the competition
    In the event of a breach of these conditions of participation, JULABO GmbH reserves the right to exclude the participants concerned from the competition. Participants who use unauthorized auxiliary devices or otherwise gain advantages through manipulation will also be excluded. In such cases, prizes may also be subsequently disallowed and reclaimed. Anyone who provides false personal information will also be excluded.
     
  6. Competition closing date
    The competition for the oldest still functional JULABO unit ends on December 15.2024
