Equipment with potential ignition sources can be operated safely in a explosion risk zone with the aid of an overpressure control cabinet tested in accordance with EN DIN 60079-2 and a pressure monitor system. Inside the overpressure control cabinet, a constant overpressure in the mbar range, built up with the aid of instrument air or inert gas, prevents the penetration of explosive atmospheres. This procedure creates a safe zone within the potentially explosive environment. In the video we see a typical ATEX application example with a Presto process system.
