JULABO Switzerland

New Branch Strengthens Customer Proximity and Market Presence

With the founding of JULABO Switzerland in October 2024, the South German specialist for temperature control technology has taken a significant step towards strengthening its presence in the Central European high-tech market. The new branch is not only a strategic milestone for the Swiss market but also a reflection of JULABO’s commitment to combining customer proximity, service quality, and technological excellence. A key role in this is played by Matthieu Ribaut, who, as Area Sales Manager Switzerland, is responsible for establishing and expanding local business.

Matthieu Ribaut combines hands-on laboratory experience with sales expertise, making him ideally suited for his new role. After training as a chemical laboratory technician, he initially worked in research and development at Rolex and later at Swatch – using JULABO devices among others. During this time, he was able to get to know the temperature control solutions from the user’s perspective. He later moved into sales at Huberlab, a long-standing Swiss partner of JULABO. These career stages provided him not only with technical know-how but also with a deep understanding of the needs of laboratory users in Switzerland.

The idea of establishing a dedicated JULABO branch in Switzerland had been under discussion for some time. With Matthieu Ribaut, the perfect opportunity arose to put these plans into action. His expertise, multilingual skills, and market knowledge made him the ideal choice for the new position. From his centrally located home base, he can reach almost all customers in the shortest time – a decisive advantage in a market with particularly high expectations for service and response speed.

With the new branch, JULABO pursues a clear goal: to strengthen proximity to customers, improve service, and make project support more efficient. In the highly regulated, technology-driven environment of the Swiss pharmaceutical and chemical industries, individual, application-specific consulting is of critical importance. Customers from research, electronics, and related sectors are also part of the established customer base.

In addition to technical expertise, linguistic and cultural skills are also in high demand in Switzerland. Matthieu Ribaut, a native French speaker, is fluent in German and English – and is already planning to learn Italian to meet the needs of the multilingual market.

What excites Matthieu Ribaut most about his new role is the variety: no customer project is like another, and each day brings new requirements, conversations, and challenges. He particularly values working with committed partners and distributors on site. It is important to him to serve the Swiss market not only selectively but comprehensively – either directly or through the local sales network.

The establishment of JULABO Switzerland is therefore much more than just a new address in the company directory. It represents a consistent expansion of customer orientation, tailored service, and a sustainable strengthening of the brand promise: High-precision temperature control technology – reliable, close, and individually supported.
