May 10, 2006  New Recirculating Coolers/Chillers ‚FL Series‘
At Achema JULABO will introduce the FL line, the latest generation of chillers for routine cooling applications in laboratories and industry. 20 different models with numerous features and air or water cooled options offer the ideal solution for any application. Compact chillers with cooling capacities up to 1.7 kW are ideal for typical lab applications as they can be placed under or on top of the lab bench. More powerful models with up to 11 kW of cooling capacity are designed with small footprints. The working temperature range covers –20°C to +40°C, the PID controller enables a temperature stability of ±0.5°C. Four different pump types with flow rates of up to 60 l/min respectively and 6 bar pressure will meet any requirement. All units have an LED temperature display integrated into a splash water proof keypad for easy cleaning. An RS232 interface as well as an analog alarm output are located on the front panel and the lift-up cover placed on the top gives easy access to the filling port. An additional hinged tray serves as a compartment for the operating manual and other documents. The removable venting grid allows for easy cleaning of the condenser. All models include an easily visible level indicator. Models with a pump pressure of more than 1 bar additionally display the pump pressure on a gauge and feature a pump pressure bypass to adjust the pump capacity. Venting slots are exclusively located on the front and back and therefore allow placing the units directly next to each other.

May 10, 2006  New Cryo-Compact Circulators ‚CF Series‘
With the new CF series JULABO presents four compact refrigerated/heating circulators. With dimensions of only 24 x 46 x 40 cm and 28 x 46 x 46 cm (W x L x H) the units can even be placed on a very small surface or within a complex installation. Depending on the model cooling capacities of up to 470 Watt can be reached. The working temperature range reaches from –40°C to +200°C. The ‚HighTech‘ models CF31 and CF41 utilize an intelligent and self-optimizing ICC cascade temperature control with a stability of ±0.02°C. These models also feature an electronically adjustable pump capacity with a flow rate of 22-26 l/min respectively a pressure/suction capacity of 1.1 bar. Further features are a VFD display and an interactive LCD display with user guide, 3-point calibration, connection for Pt100 external sensor, RS232/485 interface, integrated programmer as well as early warning system for low liquid level. The CF30 and CF40 models of the ,Economy‘ series are provided with a PID temperature control, reaching a stability of ±0.03°C. The temperature is indicated on an LED display. The pressure pump capacity of the ‚Economy‘ series is 15 l/min respectively 0.35 bar. All four models offer a heating capacity of 2 kW and safety class 3 according to DIN12876-1. The maximum ambient temperature of +40°C as well as a ventilation air cooling allow installing the units very closely side by side with other units or directly under a fume hood. Furthermore all the models feature pump connections for external temperature applications and a bath opening for temperature control of small objects directly in the circulator bath.

March 27, 2006  New powerful Highly Dynamic Temperature Control System 'Magnum 91'
With the new ,Magnum 91‘ JULABO offers a powerful highly dynamic temperature control system for demanding external temperature applications, like e.g. temperature control of reactors up to 50 litres. The advantages are rapid heat-up and cool-down within the working temperature range from –91 to +250°C as well as an immediate control of exothermic and endothermic reactions. The typical applications include control of jacketed reactor vessels, reactor systems, pilot plants and reaction blocks as well as polymerization, polycondensation, distillation and synthesis chemistry. The water-cooled unit offers a heating capacity of 6 kW as well as a cooling capacity of 5 kW at +20°C, 4 kW at 40°C, 2.5 kW at –60°C and 0.6 kW at –80°C. The circulation pump is electronically adjustable and reaches a flow rate of 24 to 35 l/min resp. a pressure of 0.8 to 2.2 bar. With the intelligent ICC cascade temperature control rapid results with high precision are reached. The temperature stability is between +/-0.05 and +/-0.2°C. For time and temperature depending processes there is an integrated programmer with 6x60 program steps. Additionally the system has a closed tempering circuit, here the advantages are a reduced oxidation and a longer lifetime of the bath fluid – unpleasant odors and vapors do not get outside. Further features are an RS232/RS485 interface, a connection for external Pt100 sensor, an early warning system for temperature limit values as well as a keypad, which is divided into two, with VFD- and LCD display for user input.
